23 Weeks

The posts just keep on comin. Here we are at Week 23, with the little guys weighing approximately 1 pound each, and taking up more and more and more room in our girl's belly. Think she'll always be able to fit in that shirt? Only time will tell.

And now for a piece from our Poet Laureate

Oh how big is my sister’s belly?
Could it be that it is full of jelly?
She claims she stopped eating at the greasy deli.
Perhaps it is from stuffing her face with Cheetos while watching the telly.

Day by day, she grows and grows
Now she can’t fit into her old clothes
She is so large, she can’t see her toes
How big she’ll get, nobody knows.

In a few short months, we’ll get to meet the babies
I hope they don’t pop out with scabies
If left alone with a raccoon, they will get rabies
Will I be their favorite? I don’t know! Maybes!

22 Weeks

I know y'all are waiting for Week 22's post, so here it is.  I have been working on a poem to submit with the picture, but it just isn't finished yet.  Also, I don't have any information about their sizes.

If I had to guess, I would say that the boys are likely the size of the telephone sitting on my desk, but seeing as how you all can't see the telephone on my desk, we are going to have to wait for more info.

Hopefully, my wife and I will finish the pregnant poem and post it later today.  Although, don't hold your breath.

21 Weeks

Our girl is large and in charge here at Week 21. She claims the gentlemen are the size of large bananas, but I don't believe that they went from some approx. round fruit to some weird, long pencil-like one in the span of one week.

The good news is that we know the boys are 14 oz. and growing. Based on the size of this belly, however, I would have guess that they each weighed about 20 lbs.

And perhaps more importantly, they are already showing their commitment to Change We Can Believe In by attempting to kick their way out. Or at least that is what Gigantor says it feels like anyway.

20 Weeks

Our Gentle Giant keeps growing.  Here she is at Week 20.  The gentlemen are now approximately the size of small cantaloupes, but keep getting bigger and bigger.

19 Weeks

Back and bigger than ever.  Whilst some financial aficionados have commented that it is time for Americans to do some belt-tightening, our girl's belt is tightening without even any drop in spending or increase in saving.

(that's because her belly is getting bigger, if you didn't get the joke)

Our boys are approximately the size of large mangos, which are tasty.  Especially the dried ones.  Right wife?

18 Weeks

If weeks were years, our boys could vote. And buy lottery tickets. And cigarettes. Don't fret, I'll likely introduce them to the lotto well before their 18th birthdays. And by "lotto" I mean savings bonds. Also, by "cigarettes" I mean studying for tests and getting all A's and full ride scholarships to University of Chief Illiniwek. And if not, I bet they'll at least be able to beat their father at Madden at that age.

So anyway, my in-laws haven't been updating me as to how big our buddies are, so I have no idea and will have to make it up. I am guessing they are now officially the size of McDonald's Dollar Menu small fries, but only if you dump the fries out on your tray and stack the fries in a pyramid as though they were a house of cards, starting with the biggest french fries and ending with the smallest (ultimately realizing that comparing babies to french fries is sorta ridiculous).

17 Weeks

Here is the big beautiful belly (without a head) at Week 17. The boys destined to carry on the uber-masculine last name that rhymes with 'tito' are now approximately the size of Barack Obama's ears.

And we now, officially, know the gender of my future best friends.

16 Weeks

Last entry with gender-neutral babies! High Maintenance Avocados up in here during Week 16.

And now for a tribute to our friends from T.I and Jay-Z:

I got the crowd yellin - BRING 'EM OUT, BRING 'EM OUT

Aye, all my hotgirls yellin - BRING 'EM OUT, BRING 'EM OUT

Aye, all the Dope Boyz yellin - BRING 'EM OUT, BRING 'EM OUT

Aye, from the back they yellin - BRING 'EM OUT, BRING 'EM OUT

15 Weeks

Whoa Babies.  Our girl keeps filling out.  At Week 15, these future White Sox fans are approximately the size of apples.

Think our girl can get any bigger?  Check back next week to find out.

14 Weeks

Just when you think she couldn't get any bigger, HERE SHE IS!

The babies are now the size of clenched fists.  This is a picture of our junior republicans at Week 14.

Isn't this a beautiful belly?

See you two soon.

PEACHES!

I realize y'all have been waiting several days, but we have finally reached Week 13.  Please don't fret, in just 7 long days, we'll be at Week 14.

This picture is of Mugshot Momma at Week 13 and as you can probably guess our future friends are the size of peaches.

Welcome to the first picture of our anonymous pregnant wonder.

In this one, she's 11 weeks along and the little babies are approximately the size of large strawberries.

Check back as often as possible.

Enjoy.
